Southern Africa Treads

SA TREADS is the only dedicated tyre publication in Southern Africa. It was established in 1994 by Liana Shaw, an industrial editor with first-hand experience in the tyre industry. It is a quarterly publication and enjoys a targeted circulation of 10 000 readers across Southern Africa. Readership figures are estimated at around 25 000.

The magazine has a two-fold aim. First, it serves as source of information to end users, (primarily large and small transport concerns, leasing companies and the like). Second, it is recognised as the official voice of the SA tyre industry, reaching among others, tyre retail outlets, retreading companies, new tyre companies, and wheel and accessory distributors.

The feature article in each edition is dedicated to a topic of current interest. Features are not planned too far in advance, given the dynamic nature of the industry. The One-on-One interview section usually features key people in the tyre industry, locally and abroad.

How to receive a copy

SA TREADS is a trade magazine and as such, is not sold through conventional magazine points. It is available on an annual subscription basis only, and mailed via a dedicated mailing house every quarter.
